Alyssa Grayson ’19 created a video for the Endangered Species Coalition in response to US Secretary of the Interior Jewell’s comments on eliminating Endangered Species Act protections for most of the nation’s gray wolves. Click here to watch the videos.
Sadie Reimer ’17 performed at Rosecliff mansion with the Island Moving Company’s Junior Company in the classical ballet La Bayadere.
Dylan Lehouiller ’21 is the School’s first place Tar Wars winner and his poster will be entered into a statewide competition at the State House in May.
Cortlandt Meyerson ’20 and Jacob Pogacar ’19 competed in the YMCA Southeast New England swimming championships, in Canton, MA, March 1. Competing were 16 teams from the region, including their team, the South County Seals, which placed second overall. Cortlandt placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay, sixth in the 200-yard freestyle individual, seventh in the 50-yard freestyle, and fifth in the 200-yard medley relay, in which he swam the freestyle leg and Jacob swam the breaststroke leg. Jacob placed fifth in the 50-yard breaststroke, ninth in the 200-yard freestyle, and 10th in 200-yard freestyle relay.
Head preschool teacher Lisa Reimer starred as Mother Goose in the Island Moving Company’s production at Rosecliff mansion in Newport.
Middle & Upper School art teacher Rachel Armentano was a visiting teaching artist at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston.
Anessa Petteruti ’17 and Abby Siegel ’17 performed in the Senior Pianist Division at the URI Piano Extravaganza Festival Competitions
The Latin Certamen team competed in the Harvard Invitational Certamen. Teams from New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, New Hampshire, Virginia, and Wisconsin were in attendance, and the competition was fierce. The Rocky Hill squad with the highest score, just missing breaking into the semis, was the Intermediate team of Brady Dill ’15, Shane Woolley ’15, and Ray Mancini ’15.
