INSIDE ATHLETICS

At Rocky Hill Country Day School, we are committed to the development of the whole child – mind, body, and spirit.  Participation in athletics is an essential part of that experience. Some students come to Rocky Hill Country Day as competitive athletes with NCAA aspirations; some come without knowing how to dribble a ball.  Our holistic athletics program meets both of those needs and the wide spectrum in between.

The athletic program promotes students’ physical, emotional, and social growth through a wide range of competitive team sports and physical fitness activities where good sportsmanship, leadership, strong work ethic, commitment, and integrity are taught and valued. All Upper School students are required to participate in at least two seasons of athletic programs each year.

Rocky Hill Country Day Athletics has a full-time Athletic Trainer on staff who attends every practice and game, as well as sets up rehab appointments with injured student-athletes. Our Sports Medicine team also consists of a relationship with University Orthopedics and Dr. Ramin Tabaddor. Dr. Tabaddor assists in consultation and streamlining appointments for Rocky Hill Country Day Athletics.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

Our mission is to educate the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. We incorporate health and wellness education into our students’ daily lives. We recognize the connection between academic success and social-emotional growth, using mindfulness, health education, the Responsive Classroom®, Developmental Designs™, and a strong advisory program in order to promote safe, healthy, and happy lives for our students and faculty.
