IIR | Innovator-in-Residence
Rocky Hill Country Day School encourages students to be brave learners, capable of navigating a complex and changing world. To that end, our “Innovator-In-Residence” program invites innovators from around the globe to engage our students across disciplines as they explore how these change-makers are making an impact in their field(s).
Available to ALL Students
Students across all divisions have the opportunity to work with these individuals as they share their professional journey, exchange critical dialogue, and explore multidisciplinary real-world learning that inspires students and teachers alike.
Innovators are identified as the top in their fields, combining skills in novel ways to create exponential impact in the world. These residents are brought to campus to initiate or elevate dialogue around big, bold ideas, and to expose students, faculty, and families to cutting-edge work happening across a variety of fields.
Supports Competency-Based Learning
Residents engage with the Rocky Hill Country Day community in a variety of ways, unique to the individual resident and the scope of their work. This program provides an opportunity for students and teachers to experience the confluence of content areas and an array of topics being presented, and uncover how they can relate to our competency-based curriculum. These exceptional innovators enable our students to see what they might be, provide exposure to new ideas, and redefine how they might use their expertise and interests in novel ways.
