Rocky Hill School is an amazing place to learn. It is also an amazing place to volunteer. Some of us have a special talent we may be able to share, others have extra time or just the desire to lend a hand. We encourage and welcome your involvement. Look below for some volunteer opportunities or email Missy Walker, Development Associate, with any questions or ideas. Thank you!
Parent Teacher League - Rocky Hill School’s parent organization, the PTL, is always looking for interested volunteers. Some annual activities include Homecoming, Senior Seminar dinners, and the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
Admission Office Stewardship - An important role as a member of the RHS community is being an admission ambassador. We hope you will encourage other families to consider Rocky Hill School for their children. Bring them by for a visit or pass on their contact information and we’ll be sure to reach them. Some families might also consider hosting a Rocky Hill night in their home to share news about Rocky Hill with friends and neighbors. Please contact Director of Admission Jan Cooney to learn more.
Alumni Volunteers - Alumni are always encouraged to get involved in the life of the school and so many opportunities exist. Alumni can host seniors for their Senior Project, help plan a reunion, return for Career Day or Homecoming act as a Class Scribe, and so much more. Please contact Liz Isdale, Director of Alumni Relations and the Rocky Hill Find, for more details or visit the RHS Alumni Web Page.
Classroom Volunteers - If you have a special talent or an interesting profession you might share with students, contact your classroom teacher or division head to see if a presentation might enhance the curriculum. Another way to get involved is to offer your time as a chaperone for field trips. Upper School students can volunteer time as peer tutors or as Preschool or Lower School classroom helpers.
