The Pre-Prep Program (P3) at Rocky Hill School serves the emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical needs of 3, 4 and 5-year-old children. Our nurturing and safe environment encourages discovery and learning through open-ended, integrated activities designed to foster a sense of wonder and excitement about the world in which children live. While offering challenging and developmentally appropriate learning activities, students develop a sense of independence, self-reliance and self-confidence.
P3 also provides children with the opportunity to learn and work cooperatively in a small community of children and adults. Prior to Kindergarten, each student is screened to determine developmental readiness. We know that children reach developmental milestones at different ages; therefore, our P3 program encompasses two to three years. All Preschool students are required to be toilet-trained by the start of school in September. The program hours are from 8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. with half day options available.
P3 children may also participate in the Lower School Extended Day program. The intent of the program is to offer an enriching and relaxing environment for children after normal school hours. The children enjoy free play and structured activities led by Extended Day teacher Kathy Majkut and members of the P3 faculty.
Full Day Schedule
