We are committed to educating the whole child in body, mind, and spirit at Rocky Hill. Thus, the core purpose of our athletic programs - consistent with our academic programming - is to promote every student's physical, mental, and social growth through a wide range of physical fitness activities and team sports. Our programs are designed to develop solid, age-appropriate athletic skills through both individual and group activities and, later, through interscholastic competition. Our ultimate objective is to graduate well-rounded, physically active young men and women who value teamwork, lead with confidence and possess the skills required to pursue athletics at the college level.
Compelling research suggests that young people who are health conscious and physically fit are more likely to make healthy lifestyle choices throughout their lives. For that reason, older students at Rocky Hill are required to participate in either a competitive or non-competitive team sport for two out of three seasons each year. Our staff and coaches take great pride in helping students gain a healthy level of physical fitness, believing that every child is capable of personal athletic success.
