8th Grade Expositions
2008
Students completed their
8th Grade Expositions in January, a process that began in September
and ended with a final presentation to their peers, parents and
faculty. Each of the students researched a person or organization
that has made, or is currently making, a significant difference
in the lives of others. Each student was required to interview
someone connected with their topic and these interviews became one
of the most valuable aspects of the project. As an example,
one student was able to interview Bishop Desmond Tutu as part of
her research on Bono. Another student was able to meet with Hugh
Auchincloss III, the brother-in-law of President John F. Kennedy.
Mr. Auchincloss was actually able to attend this exposition.
The completion of the expositions is one of the milestones of the
students' Middle School experience.
