How to use the RHS Online Calendar

The RHS online calendar offers users multiple ways to view calendar information. Users can select to view the entire calendar in a monthly, weekly or daily format, as well as by calendar category and/or event type.

Monthly/Weekly/Daily

The calendar automatically opens to a one-month view of the current month.  Select a different month by using the calendars at the top of the page, the date pull-down menu, or by selecting the Previous or Next buttons. Access a weekly or daily view with the gray tabs located in the upper right hand corner of the calendar.  When in a weekly or daily view, use the calendar or date pull-down menu to access specific days or weeks.

The monthly view offers abbreviated information, while the daily and weekly options give a full account of each event. When in a monthly view, you may access the daily information by clicking on the date for each day or by switching your view to the daily or weekly calendars. This include scores for games and directions to athletic events.

Calendar Access/Printing

The online calendar offers users a printing option. To print a hard copy of the calendar on your screen, select the Print button which will connect directly to a print preview window.

Calendar E-mail Subscription

An e-mail and subscriber function is also available. Users have the option to log on and request to automatically receive a weekly or monthly calendar by e-mail. To register, simply CLICK HERE and follow the prompts. Please ignore the “newsletter” option as we do not use this module.

Calendar Types

The calendar information is sorted into a variety of calendars to allow you to modify your view to match your interest.  Select the calendar and/or event type you wish to view and then press the Go button.

Calendars:

• ALL - displays every event on the school calendar
  
• School-Wide Rocky Hill Events - every member of the community should view this option as it includes events that involve our entire community: vacations, seminars, Commencement, etc.

• School-Wide Alumni Events - events for our alumni such as Reunion and Alumni Receptions

• School-Wide Outside Events - outside rentals

• School-Wide Faculty & Staff Events - faculty and staff meetings

• School-Wide Admission Events - admission specific events like Open Houses, SSATs and the New Family Reception

• Upper School Athletics - game schedules for the Varsity and JV teams (individual sports are listed under Event); a practice/game schedule is still posted on the athletic web page

• Upper School Events - programs, field trips and events for the Upper School members

• Middle School Events - programs, field trips and events for the Middle School members

• Middle School Athletics - game schedules for the MS teams (individual sports are listed under Event); a practice/game schedule is still posted on the athletic web page

• Lower School Events - programs, field trips and events for the Lower School members

Event Types:

The event type offers further sorting options and are typically self explanatory. Note that we do not use the lunch menu event option. The menu can be accessed online from our homepage or from the Quick Links on the bi-weekly parents newsletter, eCurrents.
