Rocky Hill School
is an amazing place to learn. It is also an amazing place
to volunteer. Some of us have a special talent we may
be able to share, others have extra time or just the desire
to lend a hand. We encourage and welcome your involvement.
Look below for some volunteer opportunities or e-mail Liz
Cochran at ecochran@rockyhill.org

Parent
Teacher League - Rocky Hill School's parent organization
is always looking for interested volunteers. Some Annual activities
include the Welcome Back to School Reception, Founders' Day, Book
Fair, Headmaster's Family Pasta Bash, Mariners' Ball and Teacher
Appreciation Week.
Admission
Office Stewardship - An
important role as a member of the RHS community is being a good
will ambassador. By telling others about RHS, you serve the school
well. We hope you will encourage other families to consider Rocky
Hill School for their children. Bring them by for a visit or pass
on their contact information and we'll be sure to reach them. Some
families might also consider hosting a Rocky Hill night in their
home to share news about Rocky Hill with friends and neighbors.
Please contact Cathy
Washburn or Maria Emmons
to learn more.
Alumni
Volunteers - Alumni are always encouraged to get
involved in the life of the school and so many opportunities exist.
Alumni can host seniors for their Senior Project, join the Alumni
Alliance, help plan a reunion, return for Career Day or Founders'
Day, act as a Class Scribe and so much more. Please contact Jane
Knowles for more details or visit the RHS
Alumni Web Page.
Library
Volunteers - The Upper and Lower School Libraries welcome
parent help with classes, book processing, a variety of special
projects and general library maintenance. Please contact Ruffin
Powell or Bambi Wood if
you would like to help.
Classroom
Volunteers - If you have a special talent or an
interesting profession you might share with students, contact your
classroom teacher or division head to see if a presentation might
enhance the curriculum. Another way to get involved is to offer
your time as a chaperone for field trips. Upper School students
can volunteer time as peer tutors or as Preschool or Lower School
classroom helpers. Everyone is welcome to be a Royal Reader and
read a favorite book to a Lower School class, contact Gordana
Novakovic-Petteruti to arrange a time to read.
Office
Support - The school is often preparing mailings
and has other general office duties that you may be able to help
complete. Please contact Liz
Cochran if you have time to lend a hand.
