Family Matching Challenge

A group of committed
parents, grandparents, alumni and friends have once again
created a matching fund called the Rocky Hill School
Family Matching Challenge (FMC). This matching
challenge, now in its sixth year, is an exciting and successful
program. It has the potential to double your 2008-2009 RHS
Annual Fund contribution, so please play a part. The goals
of the FMC are to increase participation, and to raise the
level of unrestricted giving to the School’s 2008-2009
Annual Fund.
For a limited time, the FMC fund will be available to contribute
matching gifts to the School’s 2008-2009 Annual Fund.
To be eligible for a match, gifts to the Annual Fund must
be received by June 30, 2009. Matches will continue until
the fund is exhausted, or the time limit expires; whichever
comes first.
Until then:
If a donor doubles
a gift from last year, the gift will be matched 100% by
the FMC fund. Donors also qualify for the 100% match if
they are first-time donors, or if they have not made a contribution
in the last five years, regardless of the gift amount.
The FMC will match
any increase above the donor’s last gift if the contribution
does not qualify for the 100% match outlined above.
Examples:
FMC 100% Match
A gift of $1,000 in 2007-08 is increased to $2,000 in 2008-09.
The FMC fund will contribute an additional $2,000.
A donor makes a gift of $2,500 to the Annual Fund and has
never made a gift before (or has not given in the last 5
years). The FMC fund will contribute an additional $2,500.
FMC Increase Match
A gift of $1,000 in 2007-08 is increased to $1,500 in 2008-09.
The FMC fund will contribute an additional $500.
