Caroline Perry recently wrote in to update Mrs. Snyman on her internship with Soledad O'Brien at CNN in New York City.

Hi Mrs. Snyman,

I just had a quick question and I also wanted to update you on my return to my internship. Today has been a great day. I attended a staff lunch meeting with John Klein (president of CNN), and the president of Headline News and they talked for about an hour about the kind of journalism CNN is known for, its goals, its ratings, the competition, individual anchors and journalism in general. I wish you could have been there because you would have LOVED it. It was seriously taken right out of our journalism classroom…especially the lengthy discussion on bias. And John Klein went to Brown; so, later I am going to go have a chat with him! Two other exciting things - I am going to a

shoot with Soledad tomorrow in Central Park. She is interviewing Princess Diana's cousin about Princess Diana's relationship in the media. How perfect considering that research paper I just completed! Also- and this is what I am most thrilled about - Soledad invited me to come along with her to Washington, DC on June 4 to help out with the 2008 Presidential candidate debate. She is moderating it, which is quite an honor. How pertinent - especially considering the article I just wrote about the 2008 election! Anyway, just wanted to update you on things!

Wish you were here,

Caroline
