  • 1986 to 2007 – served in the U.S. Navy, first as a Surface Warfare Officer and most recently in the Medical Service Corps as a Health Care Administrator. Experience includes:
  • 2007 St. Michael's Country Day School, Newport, RI : soccer coach
  • 2000 Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute Research Fellowship
  • 1998 to 2001 Naval School of Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD: facilitated the Management Development course for physicians, dentists, nurses and other health professionals, guest lectured at Officer Indoctrination School in Newport, RI
  • 1991 to 1994 Cornell University Navy ROTC unit: taught Marine Navigation, coached small boat sailing team, captained 51 ft sailboat for coastal training cruises from Maine to Florida

I am also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator facilitator
