My experience has taught me (and continues to teach me on a daily basis) that every child can and will “shine” if nurtured and nourished in a way that is relevant to his/her individual development and learning style. One of my most important roles as an early childhood educator is to create an encouraging and supportive environment that allows each child to feel good about him/herself, while fostering a love of learning. Providing a child with meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to explore, discover, challenge and succeed will enhance the skills he/she will use to shine brightly in all aspects of his/her development.
