Educational
Philosophy
Children come to me
with unique sets of backgrounds, competencies, skills, sensitivities,
and needs which I must keep in mind when I work with them.
It is imperative that I be observant and start each child where
he/she is. I respect my students as individuals and instruct
them according to those differences. I strive to make my
classroom a place where children feel safe and free to take risks,
and a place where they are given the opportunity to discover and
learn. My goals as a teacher are to refine my teaching strategies,
to learn more about how learning takes place, and to employ
the best way to facilitate that learning.
