Background

Experience: I have been teaching in the Lower School at Rocky Hill for twenty-eight years. My responsibilities include teaching mathematics and science at the fifth grade level, along with integrating technology for the Lower School. I serve as coordinator for our fourth and fifth grade environmental education program.

Philosophy of Education

I take great pride in working with young people in the areas of mathematics, science, and technology. The reason why I am so passionate about teaching is because it is an honor to help a child and their family. True teaching is not about power; rather, it is about making connections with students. Helping a child solve a problem, meet a challenge, or deal with personal issues is paramount.
