His adventure is a heroic and unselfish one. He sets off to try to save "The Shah of Blah's," his father, story telling ability, which is compromised after his wife leaves him. Haroun is taken from this world to another moon where nothing seems to make sense at first, but then becomes commonplace for Haroun. Haroun becomes involved in much more than he bargained for. A war between light and dark, creation and destruction, and his own fears.
