Rocky Hill 58 St Andrew's School 41
In the Mariner Classic championship game, Rocky Hill faced their regional rival, St Andrew's School. The game was more than a regular SENE league game mainly because of the competitiveness of our seniors, who wanted to add another trophy to their legacy.
During the first half, Rocky Hill displayed a defensive clinic as they managed to hold St Andrew's to 18 points at halftime. In addition to their defensive effort, Rocky Hill looked sharp offensively as they worked together and shared the ball.
In the end, Rocky Hill won the tournament thanks to the tremendous performance of the players. Pontarelli finished with 15 points, Jordan was outstanding with 10 points and Robinson played well on both ends of the court. Pierre-Louis was named tournament MVP with 17 points, and Pontarelli was first team all-tournament.
Rocky Hill has now won this tournament twice in the last four years.
