What is an Independent School? 

Independent schools, like Rocky Hill, are considered independent because they have a distinct mission statement and are primarily supported by tuition payments and charitable contributions. Independent Schools meet high accreditation standards and they are governed by a Board of Trustees. How do I choose the right school for my child?
 
The best way to ensure a good match between your child and their next school is to visit the campuses of the schools you are interested in. Before you visit, call each school to schedule a tour of the campus and a meeting with a member of the Admission Office. Be prepared to ask questions!  Learn more
 
What are some important deadlines to be aware of?

What is Rocky Hill's enrollment? 
Rocky Hill School is composed of approximately 300 students in preschool through Grade 12. There is an 5:1 student-teacher ratio with an average class size of 14.
 
Is there a dress code? 

Clothing should be neat and clean. It should fit reasonably and be worn in a traditional manner. Boys are required to wear shirts with collars. Girls must wear shirts that have sleeves and cover their shoulders. Shorts and skirts must be of an appropriate length. Jeans are not permitted. Are there after school or extended day options for my child? 
Rocky Hill offers an extended day program for children from regular dismissal time until 5:30 p.m.  Lower School students can also participate in the Rocky Hill Enrichment Academy, which offers a variety of daily athletic and artistic courses offerings with specialized instructors.
