Rocky Hill has established the Hale Scholarship, based on academic merit and exemplary character. Named after one of Rocky Hill's most revered Heads, Nathan Hale, the Hale Scholarship awards an annual tuition grant of $10,000 to Middle and Upper School students who meet the requirements. The scholarship is awarded to the two applicants who best display the qualities of a Rocky Hill student, including high academic achievement, outstanding character, and a score of 90% or higher (SSAT percentile) on the Secondary Student Admission Test (SSAT).
To be considered, applicants must complete the Student Application and all required supporting materials. Applicants may also apply for need-based tuition assistance through the financial aid process. Hale Scholarships are granted independent of other financial aid awards.
Annual renewal of a Hale Scholarship award is contingent upon remaining a member in good standing of the School community per guidelines identified in the Student Handbook. Rocky Hill reserves the right to use discretion in determining who the recipients of these awards will be and whether an award will be continued from year to year. All decisions made by the Rocky Hill Hale Scholarship Committee are final.
