Environmental Program

Environmental education is an important component of the Middle School experience. Located on Narragansett Bay, we are able to utilize this amazing resource to teach "real" science as the students study diverse, marine and coastal ecosystems, monitoring the health of these ecologically important areas.
The Rocky Hill environmental program has 2 main components, one being our "ENVIROWEEK", detailed by class below. The students of the Middle School also travel off campus to other environments, with the 6th grade choosing to canoe through the city of Providence this year, the 7th grade experiencing a winter ecology program at the W. Alton Jones campus in West Greenwich, RI, and the 8th grade climbing Mt. Monadnock, camping at its base in the state park.
