THIS IS A PAGE ABOUT MY PARENTS. I always enjoy hearing stories about my parents' past (doesn't every one?). Well, anyway I have a couple things to say about my parents. My mom told me facts about her life as a kid and my dad told me a cool story about his life.
Here are the question I asked my mom:
Q: How much $$$ was a candy bar?
A: 2¢
Q: Did boys and girls have gym together?
A: Yes
Q: Where was your favorite hang out after school?
A: I was only allowed to go home after school.
Q: How often did you move?
A: 4 times.
That's all the questions I asked. This is the story about my dad.
My dad went to a farm in Israel. His 1st job was to get the bananas off of the trees and into the bus. He would go and find the person with the machete (which wasn't hard because he would always yell out please in Hebrew when he found a good bunch of bananas.) Then he would hold the bananas a certain way so it would be easier for him to cut down the bananas. With a couple chops the 70 lb. bananas fell on to my fathers back. Then he needed to walk through the mud to find the truck all the while he was getting bitten by misquotes. Then he dropped the bananas in the truck. Then he would get yelled at by the driver for bruising the bananas. His 2nd job was to drive the tractor to hook up the irrigation pipes. It was fine for a while until he forgot to unhook the pipe. He pulled the entire irrigation system out of the ground.
Well that's the end.
