The trip to Washington DC was not only based on site seeing; it also celebrated important historic facts that the students learned about their country`s capital.

Questions:

Who designed and who made the flag? Why was the flag altered? Is there battle damage? What do the colors of the U.S. flag mean? What president signed into a law a bill designating the tune "Star Spangled Banner" the Official U.S. anthem? When is "Flag Day" and who designated that day? Where and when did the original flag fly? What historical event was taking place as it flew there? Who wrote the original poem entitled The Star Spangled Banner? What was his inspiration? What is the tune the original poem was set to ? What are the flag`s dimensions? Where has the original banner hung since 1907?
